Under Stevie fans there is a widespread belief, only his five major 70 albums of "Talking Book" (1972) to "Hotter Than July" (1980) were his best. For me the 1982 still belongs to "Original Musiquarium" to do so. Not because it's a best-of and his best radio-things "Living For The City", "You Have not Done Nothin '" and "Superstition" or perfect Soul -tracks like "I Wish" or "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life" contains, but because also four new, very innovative songs can be found. The best is undoubtedly "Do I Do", composed of funk, soul and R & B elements and connected to a tribute to the hip-hop. But the very socially critical "Frontline" which recently gecoverte Joe number "That Girl" and the calm "Ribbon In The Sky", a thousand times better than his later, comparatively weak lard number "I Just Called To Say I Love You" put seriously high new standards. Too bad that he himself with his other 80 plates only in Exceptions to these standards handed approach. Let's hope on his upcoming 2003 album!
