I have found another useful application for the device. I hang my TV / audio devices to a switchable power strip. I can turn on my universal remote instead of pressing the switch manually the plug connector with the standby killer now.
Unfortunately, this does automatic shutdown, despite standby power of only 13 watts, no! Thus, I have to turn off the still done manually - via the switch on the standby killer. In here was already reported, the standby killer does not seem to be able to control multiple devices. Maybe it works only with a single device to the power outlet or under certain circumstances, for me it does not work.
To come again to my original intended use, a small unit on via universal remote control and, if necessary, switch it off again. To this end, I bought the remote-controlled socket of Revolt: Revolt Remote-controlled socket with teachable infrared sensor
Thus, I can the consumer via FB and also off - but this outlet has no automatic shutdown feature.
