(Review of the year 2004)

Admittedly, after the third album "Intuition" from the year 1989, I had the Norwegian melodic metal troupe completely lost sight of, that is, with "Realizid Fantasies" (1992), "Firefly" (1997) and "transistor" (1999) me three albums slipped through their fingers. Now is the latest long-iron "My Religion" in the CD tray and somehow I expect no miracles of a band, the center / stand late eighties just before the big international breakthrough (recall the hit "10000 Lovers (And One) "of" Tell No Tales "). In retrospect, writes the press, Tony Harnell's high voice would have been the brake on broader commercial successes, as the case may be, but just this characteristic timbre of the US American already makes half the battle of each release from Tnt.

For the rather low expectations of "time" for the current Silberling is then but more than makes up - on the contrary even. Straighter, but demanding hard rock, the whopping Hooks, brilliant staccato riffs and Melody Lines (Master Ronny Le Tekro's "Fidel style" is that Criss Oliva's (RIP) is not far away) and usual concise and quite magically relaxed acting vocal lines on's tray, the sloped rock freak should remain deprived as in the present case, no path. Because just about everything your heart desires is as represented in the entertaining 45 minutes: edged noble rockers like the opener "Invisible Noise", the single "Give Me A Sign" (sounds like a tribute to WASP's "Wild Child"), "Live Today" or the saugeile title track, sentimental Ohrenschmäuser the variety "She Needs Me," "You'll Be There" and "Song For Diana" and "Everybody's Got A Secret" / "Everything UR", her character good mood -Stampfer. As well as the sound production of the said tape heads and the mix of Tommy Hansen to boot more than convinced that one arrives at the following conclusion: "My Religion" is an unexpectedly strong piece of Hard Rock, which will disappoint no Tnt fan, even if it is the great feats à la "Tell No Tales" or "intuition" is not quite measure up. Nevertheless, almost recommended!
