a week ago I had the new album of progressive rock band "Transatlantic" in Breifkasten and I was very surprised what would await me at ease.
The band "Transatlantic" consists of drummer Mike Portnoy (ex-Dream Theater), bassist Pete Trewavas (Marillion), Vocal & Guitar: Roine Stolt (Flower Kings) and Neal Morse (vocals, keyboards, guitar).
Alone the occupation of the band "Transatlantic" reads already super, however far this is so that the CD can also convince musically. Because all too often tend such "supergroups" means that each individual player may make his "class" to the test. This leads often to the fact that it is missing the songs to life and the albums on context. But quite different in the case of Transatlantic.

The opener Overture / Whirlwind is very welcoming with its friendly and harmonious melodies and manages to evoke the tension. Overall, each of the songs is a private Kunstewerk. One must say that this album is simply very well done - every prog rock fan must have are these plate in his CD rack. 5 points - simply deserves!
