Customer Review

Sylvan should have probably worked out slightly more than an insider status in the seventeen years of band life. At the latest with the masterpiece Posthomous Silence is the progressive rock band from Hamburg known to a wider audience! By its ninth album Home, the band announces now back again.

Home is an ambitious concept album that deals with childhood memories of a woman, which reveals itself gradually a threatening world.

Not Far From The Sky opens the album almost gently. The song stands out because of the strings beautifully set, with the subsequent Shaped Out Of Clouds takes the band then some momentum on. With In Between then follows the first real blast of the album. In this song are wide guitar walls side by side with fragile vocals and a very exciting song structure.

At home there is no song that I do not like. But apart from the songs already mentioned me excited also the quiet, at the end but tougher, Black And White.

Sylvan underpin Home with their status in the German and European progressive rock scenery!
