Progressive rock still has a bad reputation among rock lovers at large; this is sometimes justified because the symphonic side, serious, pompous or bombastic bands like ELP; against by listening to this good compilation it soon becomes clear that this current brought masterpieces extremely varied and still listenable today. The proposed overview starts with the end of the era psychedelic, revisits the golden age of the first half of the 70s and continues with the latest IQ groups, MARS VOLTA and shows affinities with the hard rock ( dream theater). Of course, it lacks the tenors: no GENESIS, PINK FLOYD, of KING CRIMSON; it's unfortunate but true fans already have the originals. The booklet is well done, full of phots, a page group in general; I recommend this compilation which still covers a large part of this specific genre with surprises and discoveries.
