the plate is very good!
Unpack mirrored after with Disk Utility.
as opposed to the default built-Hitachi 250GB I noticed:
+ Less vibration
+ Faster in the applications (Open Finder / programs, move files, copy, etc.)
+ Large cache for caching

- Marginally higher noise due to the high speeds (but is neither intrusive nor disturbing)

I can only recommend the plate.
