Here, first briefly the main differences (Details I go below a):
-the quantities for Espresso and Lungo can now be "free" to adjust
-The new Aero Chino is dishwasher safe and comes with a single whorl of
-The capsule container is finally connected to the drip tray
-There is a cup warmer
-Auto Off
-Improved noise
As always, there are small differences between Krups and Delonghi - and also at the Gran Maestria liked besides the color, the material quality on the details better. Thus, the knobs of the Krups feel more like metal and not as loud clacking when rotating as in the DeLonghi. The knob of the DeLonghi fill in for plastic. Also, the titanium gray-quality acts as the silver of DeLonghi.
Unlike our Citiz & Milk the capsule container is now connected to the drip tray. This is a great thing - but the water was running the capsule collection container at the Citiz & Milk thanks to lack of connection good boy under the machine rather than in the drip tray. When Gran Maestria is now solved clean: whether water from the cup warmer, the machine itself or from the capsule container - everything is centrally collected and nothing more runs under the machine. Very good!
The new Aero Chino is now dishwasher safe (I still continue to sink by hand), which is certainly very convenient for one or the other. In addition, he now comes out with just a whisk, so that it no longer needs to be changed. About one attached to the Gran Maestria knobs can be between cold foam, warm "soft" foam (for those who have had too hard from the old Aero Chino), "hard" foam (as always, foam for spoons :)) or simply only warm milk (with fine "froth, great for cappuccino or cocoa). The amount of foam is perfectly adequate for latte macchiato.
The capacity for Espresso and Lungo can now be adjusted continuously, but in a defined area. In Espresso, stages 1-5 with quantities between 25 and 60ml, at Lungo topped with quantities between 70 and 150ml. These quantities can be changed _not_. I think that's not so bad: if I can squeeze even 200ml water through the capsule, the coffee will be better but in no case. 150ml the level of use, I find myself perfectly adequate for a tankard of milk.
Passive is a cup warmer. To this end, an espresso cup to be pressed on a defined area. It must be pressed 3 of 3 pressure switches. To warm the cup now water is flushed into the cup. The size of the area and the need to press all 3 pressure switch, can thus only espresso cups Preheat. But honestly what I want with a preheated tankard? Due to the significantly higher amount of hot water and milk or coffee and latte / cappuccino cup / glass anyway warm enough and the drink is at the end also hot enough. They want to drink coffee so equal and not cool down after 10 minutes. In Esporesso is different. Who pressed just 25ml of hot water in a cup of cold, warms rather before. I only espresso cups pre-heated at the Citiz & Milk - here just for no particular cup warmer, simply put topsy press 1x Espresso. Flushed the machine was then also and thus also the first coffee brewing really warm. Therefore, the cup warmer is a nice idea, but would even without.
The Gran Maestria has a real shutdown. You can on 9, 30, 60 min or 2 or 8 hours to adjust. If the set time is reached, the switch is turned OFF by means of a relay. The automatic switch-off is thus quite literally. After the set time, the machine presses her on / off switch so yourself - what is logically also audible.
Finally it should be mentioned that the Gran Maestria much quieter than the CitŽ & Milk is and much less vibrate. When the morning of the first coffee has been left out with the Citiz, it was clear that the neighbors have something like this. That's when Gran Maestria now no longer the case.
Incidentally, we have no problems with hanging or falling capsules (we now use original Nespresso goods!), Not functioning shutdown or vibrations that you have to hold cups. If that is so, the machine has obviously a defect (which can happen in the rest always and in every company) and a case for the repair. In the case of online purchase, you can exchange the product as a rule without any problem within 14 days, otherwise there is also the supplier's technical support (guarantee) or the guarantee by the merchant. And here I have only good experiences with Nespresso been made (personally still had no defect, but relocation conditionally lost agitators for the Aero Chino and have promptly receive replacement cost).
Conclusion: the most expensive Nespresso machine, but does everything right and a lot better than before!
