I have this tablet now since about 5 weeks and am very happy in operation until now.
I had decided on the 8-inch version, because I want to use it mainly on vacation, to transfer the photos from the memory card to your tablet device from the digital camera.
The tablet has an internal 16 GB memory, however, it is about 5 GB is already occupied by the operating system and apps. Unfortunately, the pre-installed apps do not delete, but only deactivate.
Therefore, I have upgraded the unit with a 16GB micro SD. The card is also recognized immediately.
The tablet comes standard for data transmission to a PC or notebook with a standard USB cable.
However, in order to connect a digital camera or a USB key on the tablet, you need a so-called. USB adapter cable (micro B-A socket). (These cables are to have you here at Amazon)
So one thing I've then bought it. My camera and the USB stick were also recognized immediately.
With the preinstalled app Explorer can the data then back and forth.
For transmission of the tablet screen to a TV via HDMI, you need a HDMI mini to mini HDMI adapter. (Can also be purchased from Amazon).
I have bought myself also, and the picture looks on the television very well.
The display of Tablets pleasantly surprised me.
It is very well lit, the colors are of course presented and it all runs smoothly and round.
As with most tablets, it reflects something of course, particularly strong in sunlight. We then must be very high to adjust the brightness.
But otherwise I have the brightness usually 50% - 60%, and I think that's sufficient.
For battery: it lasts me 5 - 5 1/2 hours by.. In time, however, I look at some YouTube videos, listen to Internet radio and call on various websites.
When the battery level of 15%, I invite mostly on again and it is fully charged at the socket then takes about 2 3/4 hours.
For Sound: sounds not so good, but it was also to be expected.
Connected with headphones or on good speakers, but the sound is good then.
WLAN: the reception is very good, I had no crashes and outside on the terrace of the reception was just as good as in the living room where the router is.
Photos: because the rear camera has a resolution of 5 MB, see photos from pretty good.
But I have not tested all the settings here, because I prefer to photograph with a proper digicam.
Videos: the videos look good, are with sound. But here is for me the same as in the photos.
My conclusion: If you want a small handheld Tablet with many connection possibilities and emphasis on a good display, which should access here.
Who it, however, on the longest possible battery life depends, or who want to work a lot in the sunlight so, I would advise against.
Addendum on 28.04.2014
Having now for almost a year have the tablet in operation, I can say that I am satisfied in general is still so.
However, what was sometimes annoying, had me inexplicable crashes.
I have worked a little contrary, as I have my app "Android Assistant" downloaded.
After the tablet is powered up, now I finish first always the processes that are not needed, and also partially empty the cache. As a result, the crash risk has decreased.
To connect to memory sticks and external hard drives:
External hard drives are obviously only recognized by the tablet when they have their own power supply. Since I have several hard drives, each with or without their own power supply, I've tested it.
Memory Sticks up to a size of 8 GB are easily recognized.
As it stands with sticks that have more than 8 GB, I can not say because I do not have such.
