I deliberately to escape from the eco-system of Apple begun, as I had read and seen about the rapid development of Android over the last years very much and was just curious. So I have my iPhone 5 sold and first 3 Android models set me on the shortlist: the HTC One M8, the LG G3 and the Sony Z2. From the pure feel ago HTC has promised me most and thus the decision was clear for all the technical qualities were more or less similar in the area.
After 1 week of use I take out my impressions together:
The HTC is simply a feast for the eyes, the format is well in hand (I have fairly large hands), the edges of the left and right of the display are quite narrow and the rounded edges of the rear panel pushes the rear cover rather than the flesh (as the Sony Z2 example). I have still the clear plastic shield from Spigen allowed myself to protect the HTC against falls. It is thus a bit clunky, but the design remains intact and is not too veiled. And the truth is, it's virtually impossible to have a mobile phone time will not fall.
The quality of the display is certainly extraordinary and exalted above all that is with a mobile phone just the criterion, and it's really fun, photos or videos to look at or read texts. Never has the need to make you feel when looking at cutting back, everything is clear, sharp and brilliant.
The personalization of apps and set up mail accounts or social media apps is fast out of hand. At first I had really looking forward to Blink Feed, a summary of various social media and news feeds which you can easily scroll through the HTC and take a look, if you push the Start screen to the right. Unfortunately, the feeds are not configurable, and you have to take what is offered, which is a shame, but it can be enough for some. I therefore completely renounced and the (free) Nova Launcher downloaded me instead of HTC Sense, the user interface of HTC, completely superimposed. The Nova Launcher allows one to set the icons and close to personalize the overall look more comprehensively. The user interface is now therefore perfectly suited to me and again it's fun to delete through the screens and to start the necessary apps.
Since I do not have very great respect claims. Photo quality, I am quite satisfied with the camera. Certainly there are many other phones with better cameras but who disdained this phone because of the camera, whines at extremely high levels. I find the quality of images in normal daylight is more than sufficient!
The HTC has a lot of little features that I appreciate very much and for some Android phones in the premium segment are perhaps standard. These include the mini-LED, which blinks to notify you of new messages, postings or messages. A small, but fine for me Feature: The knock-on feature you start by 2-tap on the black screen, the second tap is accompanied again with a short vibration before the start screen starts. As I said, small but perfectly formed. So there are many small impressions that provide a constantly a feeling of value, quality and smart industrial design.
What else is important? Oh yes, the speed is excellent, the wireless no stuttering at websites and videos. The weight is lighter than one would think at the format and pockets suitable it is even. The sound is quite fat for small speakers, which I rather enjoy music through headphones.
Bottom line, I can only say there is a very strong buy recommendation for the HTC One M8 and I still miss my old phone .... as it was called? No matter, no, absolutely no desire !!!
