Technology sophisticated than we thought! Slight weaknesses!

This is our first robotic vacuum. The device gives us much joy, unless you have the right premises. Means: not too angled rooms. Not overly many carpets, tables or chairs in the room, because then the IRobot is overwhelmed.

Despite the IRobot navigated safely from all tricky situations. The navigation looks messy, but is said to have system.

Here are some impressions.

Positives:

- Equipment is as loud as a vacuum cleaner with hand batteries in about. But only half as loud as a 1800 watt vacuum cleaner.
- The suction is OK!
- All parts are interchangeable from the brushes to the electric motors (big plus)
- Robust assertiveness. Freed from many sticky situations. In children with plenty of toys to recommend.
- Powers on many carpets (not at all)
- Cheap energy costs (30 watts suck, load 10 Watt, 5 Watt standby). Compared with a 1800 watt monster engine of a normal vacuum cleaner, despite constant current cost of IRobot, much cheaper.
- Good workmanship. Unit a quality image.
- Price is justified.
- Device can be left unattended as long as the rooms were previously exempt from pitfalls, such as cable and runner is.

Negatives:
- Batteries have memory effect. No Lion batteries!
- The command to the charging station will not retract consequence implemented (long wandering journey). The return trip is initiated by laser beam (similar to an ILS system at the landing of aircraft).
- Small dust collector
- Perfect would it be if the device itself detects dirt and independently on zufährt.
- Development not yet reached the end.
- Suction could be stronger. Remains of dirt left behind.

Conclusion:

The device is well worth the money. The technology is mature pretty. The IRobot is more than just a toy, but it may be easier for the everyday. Who his own clear space calls can be happy with the device.
