The designs are beautiful. But if the first two volumes sometimes went to photorealism in color processing by computer, there is nothing like it here with more traditional colors. I personally prefer this new approach warmer, but the result is a third volume graphically very different from the first two, which is a shame considering this volume in its entire context.
More importantly, we feel a very unpleasant acceleration of history toward the end: major events are summarized in just a few cases, and the epilogue takes exactly one box on the last page. Is that the story was planned in 4 volumes rather than three? This seems possible. Perhaps the publisher has sought a solution to quickly conclude a problematic cycle. It's a shame because the world is fascinating Megalex and could easily make it a more satisfactory treatment.
