10 years ago, well I went (with the death metal movement of the nineties grew up) in Frankfurt "'Musikladen"'. This is one of the few stores in the Rhine-Main area, which is in its place in the metal and rock area, and where the people behind the counter are themselves all fans and be well informed about it. My intention: I was until now almost a blank slate when it comes to Black Sabbath. Except for the song 'Paranoid' and 'War Pigs' (although as cover version of Faith No More) I knew almost nothing of them. Ok, Beavis and Butthead have constantly in the series to the riffs of 'Iron Man' and 'Electric Funeral' air-guitared, but I knew at the time not yet well. So I said I wanted to check it myself in Sabbath and asked for a CD to get you started. The owner of the music store looking at the new CDs, which I wanted to buy (I think it was '' Back from the Dead "'of Obituary and' 'The Sound of Perseverance' 'of Death) and gave me without any hesitation' Master of Reality 'on the way. For that I am the good man still grateful because then I became totally infected with the virus and Sabbath've gained the complete back catalog of men in the following years. To 'Master of Reality' is there to say: Hammer production, songwriting out of this world (alone the gods gifts 'Into the Void' and 'Children of the Grave' to justify the purchase, however, here is each title perfectly) and above all the low-tuned guitar of Tony Iommi and the incomparable vocals of young Ozzy Osbourne. What must the normal music listeners of time have hated this record! In retrospect, with the complete works of Black Sabbath in mind, I would 'Master of Reality' call as my all-time Favourite followed by 'Heaven and Hell' (with Ronnie James Dio) and then either 'Sabotage' (Ozzy) or 'Mob Rules '(again Dio). If you are already metalheads, this is IMHO the best order to get started. For more mainstream-oriented listener, I recommend first 'Paranoid' to order. Here the songs are just a tad bit catchy and with 'Paranoid' and 'Iron Man' is the best-known popular songs of the band with the same plan. Thanks again to the 'Musikladen' team and for all the friends of hard sounds that MoR not know Please buy absolutely, you can not go wrong!
