I was looking forward to getting this Volume 4 of this fabulous saga. Now it's done. I made short work of this novel. It is without doubt probably the best of all. From the first page, the reader may smile when reading the thoughts of Mrs. Plumtree, this manipulative grandmother who continues to manage with an iron hand the interests of her grandchildren. We find pleasure and easily pen, style and ambience that managed to give the author in this saga. As noted by one of the Internet users, the fourth novel is darker than the others but it is no less captivating and exciting. Unlike other volumes, all members of the family are more Sharpe longer present. We thus find, to the delight, Oliver in his role as head of household, the sweet Maria, a Jarret more mellowed since marrying Annabel, a Minerva equal to itself and the youngest, Celia, the rebel. The doubt still hangs over the tragic death of the parents, but the investigation progresses. The ultimatum of the grandmother is always appreciated (marrying within a specified time). For once, I would not do a summary of the book. I leave, the reader the task of find out. I would simply say that, as a frantic horse race, the reader discovers the adventures of Gabriel Sharpe, the 4th of the family, to go win the heart of the beautiful young Warvely Virginia. It's thrilling, entertaining and attaches to our two intrepid heroes, lovers, loved and thirst to meet any challenge. We are also witnessing a Mrs. Plumtree not insensitive to the charms of General Waverly, the father of Virginia. In short, in short, for all those who loved the beginning of this saga and even for those who do not know, buy this book. You will not regret it. I look forward to the tribulations of the last installment of the Sharpe family.
