"P'tit Bonhomme" looks like a leprechaun with its red and pointy hat. That morning he gets up and he is hungry. Yes! The niche even bread is empty all the cupboards in the kitchen are not left so he must run to the baker who sends him to the miller, who sent home the peasant, who sent him to his horse, who sends for grass, which sends it to fetch water. Phew! This is a crazy race he will start in the other direction but the boy eventually enough to eat! In passing this album tells us how they make bread from the water until the miller baker. The author plays with words, it's funny, sometimes poet, always tender. The text looks almost like a song with a chorus that returns to each page. If inventive collages illustrate beautifully this book. The illustrator often added little humorous touches. We read the story of "P'tit Bonhomme" always with great pleasure and each time we discover a new detail, a play that was not understood from the beginning and then the presence of a little mouse hidden in a corner. A huge favorite for this album which addresses the toddler where the all-largest.
