The bluesy riff-monster finally on vinyl

DC on the theme: The acquisition of AC / DC's 1995 album "Ballbreaker" on vinyl worth it !!!
For two simple, but for good reasons:
1. Ball Breaker is considered in retrospect and compared to all the other albums simply an absolute gem, a masterpiece with the best riffs in AC / DC's career! I say without doubt or exaggeration. Here you can hear the rock-hard, bone-dry AC / DC Trademark sound, wonderfully produced by Rick Rubin, who by no means inclined here to excessive compression. And that's saying something!
In terms of songwriting, the band experienced its second spring, after the rather commercial and ironed predecessor "The Razor's Edge". Together with the famous opening song and hit single "Hard As A Rock" form Riffgewaltige mid-tempo rocker that more than solid backbone for the album. Examples would be especially "The Honey Roll", "Hail Caesar", "Love Bomb" ... basically all the rest to the end. Catchy, blues soaked and really nice heavy!

2. Just out on vinyl receive this grandiose work finally the medium on which it deserves to be published! The original CD of 1995 and the remaster of 2003, there were sound alright, but you imemr felt here the drums were wrapped in cotton wool. Somehow lacked the oomph, it sounded very thin. The first signs of Rick Rubin's tendency to Loudness War ...
Now on vinyl reveals itself through the gained momentum a wonderful new, warm and precise sound, the nuances stand out much more. Especially Malcolm's rhythm guitar is much more advantage. The impact mechanism strikes again reasonable, and the cymbals sound clear and bright. Overall, the panel is much quieter mastered than the CD, but this is also due to the fact that squeeze here more than 50 minutes of playing time on a single (!) Record. But does not disturb absolutely!
So, bottom line for all AC / DC fans and some who want to be there:
Buy some BallBreaker on vinyl !!! A milestone in the AC / DC catalog, a true gem. You will not regret buying!
