SIVA is a concentrate of the world of Philip K. Dick. The first part is more like a catalog of his beliefs as a novel, deep reflection on God in general, and therefore the meaning of life and of course the meaning of death. We find his sense of paranoia, conspiracy, schizoid still drifts with the feat of it to himself as Philip K. Dick and also his double strikethrough, Horselover Fat. The second part is more like a novel, and I find, reads better but overall still quite strange, as Ubik but without the basic frame of the novel, that's how it is crossed out. It is not even the limit of the reality of the imagination, it is both feet in a bizarre universe but the bottom is very consistent with itself and full of teachings.
Having read the prelude "Radio Free Albemuth" help, in the beginning to have some understanding of tracks, then to have a more comprehensive view of all with understanding keys.
Finally, as a fan of Philip K. Dick, I enjoyed the book because it is deeply rooted in the Dickien universe. By cons, if you have trouble with this world, or want to discover the author, or you want to read a science fiction novel, do not start by this particular book, it may leave you a bit of marble in less.
