My Macbook early 2009 (SATA II, 2.4 GHz) required a speed boost. My choice was the Samsung 840 Series 250 GB. The Pro version was not worth the money to me, because I possessed indeed only SATA II. Among the data: Before (Software: Blackmagic Disk Speed Test) on my old and original HDD - Write 54.8 MB / s / read 54.4 MB / s ... After installing the SSD 840 and enable the Trimfunktion (Software : Trim Enabler) - Write 208.6 MB / s Read / 265.1 MB / s. Add to that the memory expansion to 8 GB of RAM, the old hard disk in a HDD / SSD caddy (as a second hard drive) and now I'm back arrived in 2013. The operating system I use the snow leopard, rather than the mountain lion and we believe it hardly my Macbook is awesome. Page layout within 1 second / complete startup Less than 25 seconds ...
