Kings of Metal (Audio CD)

Customer Review

The dispute, which is the best Manowar album, can never be decided. A candidate (probably next to three others) but is certainly "Kings Of Metal", an album, Floating On Manowar somehow everything to extremes - endless self-congratulation, stereotypes and terrible texts included - and quite calculated and with the media playing have created their own monument. Let's go with the all rolling steamroller "Wheels Of Fire", it follows the simple-minded, but simply iconic title track. "Heart Of Steel" is the indisputable bulkiest ballad that the heavy metal or hard rock has ever produced. Completely lifted it goes on: "The Crown Of The Ring" is the rock anthem par excellence - these atmospheric keyboards, any waiver of guitars and Eric Adams on all enthroned voice from deep within the soul itself can hardly resist the reservierteste listeners of temptation before stereo to fall on their knees. And as if not a hymn of this caliber enough follows the same grandiose "Kingdom Come", in which the sawing guitars should rejoin. In "Hail and Kill" must be the glorifying violence Metzel text simply ignore, because the song itself is with its dynamics and great melody another highlight. With the - as it should be different - anthemic, epic "Blood Of The Kings" is DeMaio and Co. bow to their own past. Should not go unmentioned, of course, the completely crazy "The Warriors Prayer", one without any background music spoken story about battles and heroism, the "Blood Of The Kings" emotional heralds. With such a concentrated quality it is not hard, about once more liquid, albeit not quite so terrible instrumental and the indisputable CD bonus number "Pleasure Slave", which simply is a joke in musical and lyrically ignore, (as a test of the Skip button or the programming function of the CD player are both always good).
