Mr. Johnson brings a Chinese dragon motif vase to junkyard of Titus Jonas so that the next day his girlfriend finds them there, because Mr. Johnson's girlfriend is enthusiastic dragon vase collector, and a vase with a white dragon image is a true rarity. Too bad that immediately after Mr. Johnson's departure Justus down raises the vase from a shelf. Where should Justus and his two friends Peter and Bob just as quickly herkriegen a new vase? Their search leads the boys to a controversial theft and as they realize that even their archenemy Skinny Norris has his hands in the game, It's a lively time. The detective story is okay, even if it is only designed overly original, but it offers a whole entertainment. The plot at the end radio play is nothing special, but rather weaker ??? - mediocrity, but the case resolution at a night meeting to present all relevant persons in the junkyard, really well thought out and has staged exciting. But one thing must be said in all determination, the selected title here "The Curse of the Dragon" is sheer nonsense and totally misleading. There is in this story neither a curse nor plays in any manner a dragon or a dragon-like creature with. Unlike in the ??? - series Follow The Three Investigators - Episode 7: and the eerie Dragon and The Three Investigators - episode 113: The Eye of the Dragon, in which really dragon phenomena play a role, the Dragon serves here merely as a vase motif. The chosen here sensational title sounds good, but holds nothing to do with the story. Such a thing has been there in the ??? - yet to be set in this form luckily. Conclusion: mediocre story with an incorrect title.
