The music of Alan Parsons Project has always been a bit avant-garde. But what was on its feet in 1976, the Studio troupe is phenomenal! The original recording was acoustically disfigured for CD pressing a little, by providing additional guitar riffs were interspersed. This is a bit of the original mood, which was achieved almost entirely without electronic instruments lost. Nevertheless, this setting some short stories by Edgar Allan Poe is absolutely worth hearing. The implementation of the stories in music is wonderfully managed so that you can feel the mystical atmosphere of Poe's stories literally. Of course, there are on the album are typical of the Alan Parsons Project instrumental pieces, the other pieces lent among other John Miles his distinctive voice. Conclusion: Although it is almost a quarter century old, this legendary album is still as attractive as at the time of its appearance. (This is an Amazon.com at the university-student review.)
