Slaughterhouse (Audio CD)

Customer Review

I have to admit in advance that me, no one was known by the men down to Joe Budden before I heard about Slaughterhouse. But there has so captivated with his solo performance "Padded Room" me Joe, spoke not mind a listen to this album.

The album begins with "Sound Off". A masterpiece of a beat produced by Street Runner, accompanied here the four butchers who so recklessly deliver their stunning double-time rape that they make most of their colleagues very relaxed in the shade. It continues with the track "Lyrical Murderers" and the second single "Microphone". Both hit in a similar direction - with hard-edge punchlines prove the 4 MC's their battle ability and leave partly really the impression of being able to kill alone with her rape. According to these documents for its name it comes with "Not Tonight" is generous with cheerful on. The fantastic beat, the one already found to "Padded Room", was still equipped here with better Drums and rape are again at its finest. The high level is held by the first single "The One". Here is an e-guitar melody makes for a somewhat mainstream like but brilliant sound. Is rapped course once again great.
An unnecessary Skit separates the first half of the album by DJ Khalil's "Cuckoo". An extremely strange, but after a little time really good beat meets here on pure rhyme violence. The best description I've ever heard of this song, was "in a pleasant way annoying". Another skit, which was also really is not necessary, and it continues with Onslaught 2. Here is featured the crew of Fatman Scoop, who, as usual for him, shouting about the song and the great beat and the great part of the 4 yet refined. After thankfully last, the album interrupting Skit, there again the ear. "Salute" is indeed by far the weakest song on the album, but not exactly negligible, since he also knows how to convince partly.
But if you still continue to hear, one comes again to three masterpieces of the supergroup. With "Pray" a thoughtful direction is taken, the four convey very convincing. Budden's voice in the chorus ensures Gängsehaut feeling. With "Cut You Loose" then comes a very melodic beat that makes really good mood, but one pays attention to the lyrics, you can also find here true rhyme again. With "Raindrops" the album eventually finds then its supposed highlight. The beat is full of power and the rape get under your skin. That's rap !! The last track "Killas" is a good song, but of the other can not really keep up, but alone, like "Salute", even more, certainly shows quality.

At the end I'll stay as listeners are blown off with an open mouth and very satisfied ears. Slaughterhouse arouses in me the hope Rap is perhaps not yet been completely lost to the mainstream.

A few more words about the butchers themselves: When I thought just getting started, there with a group that had to do from Joe Budden and three other more or less unimportant rappers, I was quickly disabused. I still can not make a firm favorite. Although convinced me Royce most often, but when Joell unpacks his double-time rape, I dare to doubt this. And Joey just has a brilliant voice. Only Crooked it probably will not, though he also has on this album has to offer some magic moments.
