Let's start: The delivery via Amazon ran as usual from problems and UPS came well packed two days later than I expected. When unpacking I immediately checked the UPS to all parts and everything was available. Unfortunately, no power cord is (plug on three terminal) included only three-pole to three-pole (2x). From old equipment but almost everyone has at home a cable.
For device: After the battery to the UPS is connected, the device for a full day will be connected to the electricity. While the battery is already charged when you unpack but the manual recommends loading. After a day I have wired the UPS as follows:
On the battery outputs depend Fritz! Box, ReadyNAS Duo, Switch and additional modem. About the surge protector slots I've connected a television with DVD player and receiver, as well as my laptop. Even the ReadyNAS with the UPS connected via USB cable and after five minutes the NAS has UPS also easily recognized. Then I immediately drove a test and pulled the plug and you: The UPS immediately switches to battery operation and running properly.
Looking at the volume of the UPS, which has often been criticism, so I can not agree with this point. In current mode it is virtually inaudible. Since anyway quiet fan my NAS is much louder. In battery mode the whirring can be heard - but is not the lasting battery operation the purpose of a UPS. Therefore, this noise is not unreasonable.
The UPS makes a very chic impression and riding in perfectly with my other multimedia products.
Meanwhile hangs with a colleague on the same UPS also a MAC OSX Server - with no problems. I would recommend this highly enough UPS.
