The Wolves howl again

Already with the second album "Lupus Dei" was the German-Romanian Rudel POWERWOLF that it is internationally competitive, but with the subsequent "Bible Of The Beast" they outperformed effortlessly all expectations and played in the league of the Power / True Metal. That the guys have a lot to offer live, I could find out firsthand recently. Nearly two years later, stands at the fourth album "Blood Of The Saints" and the title already shows that the boys have remained faithful.

And so it is also musical. Powerful, catchy Heavy Metal with organ keyboards, tight rhythms and memorable melodies, plus of course the typical horror lyrics and religious issues that people like to see with a wink. "Sanctified With Dynamite" also reflects the same resist hiring POWERWOLF. Crunchy riffs, church organ sounds and a strong vocal performance by Attila Dornleiten the album a super. A real live Kracher this opener.

"We Drink Your Blood" has failed and impresses with an ingenious rhythm a bit darker, and a sing-along chorus. It follows with "Murder at Midnight" a great Hitkandidat. Attila initiates with chanting and it creates a nice atmosphere, until you really picks up speed with the MAIDEN-like twin-leads and the song at the right Banger mutates. As mentioned above, the wolves have stayed true to the sound and run on the path of its predecessor, consistently, in detail has then something changed. The keyboards of Falk are a little further receded into the background, for frying the guitars of brothers Greywolf a trace and also the Transylvanian Fronter grabs increasingly aggressive Metal voice.

So it is with "Dead Boys Do not Cry" again really fast, but with "All We Need Is Blood" then you have yet another places chorale hymn at the start. Speaking anthem: "Phantom Of The Funeral" indulges in the German Happy Metal and is by far the most positive composition. Even if one with the 6-minute film "Ira Sancti" again comes to the conclusion back in the solid and generates graveyard atmosphere, I would have liked a couple more epic songs.
