This Broilers CD's to me is one of them.
It starts with the unusual but fascinating intro with its successful bond on the Flamenco music. The transition to the brachial introduced piece "Back to concrete" gives the CD even a hint of "live" feel.
The harmoniously complementary voices, the hard drumbeat that individually clear herauszuhörenden guitar riffs, bear witness to a perfect audio mix in the recording. Alone therefore is the CD listening experience.
The piano intro of "My thing", which I also like very much the content of the text, I find impressive, and the seemingly loose drive and the speed with which this piece is played.
"Instead of the white flag you will see my middle finger" it says in the chorus, appropriately topped with respect to the content of the play. An intelligent, thoughtful text with the appropriate musical accompaniment and, as icing on the cake, an excellent piano finish. Me it excited when a tape her pieces builds so considered and structured.
Two pieces speak to me in addition to especially:
"Ruby Light and Dark," which dealt with the contradictions of everyday life, their own standards and the realities of life. Powerfull played with a lot of pressure and a dash of sarcastic social criticism. This builds on the best punk rock traditions, respect.
"Everything I did" hits well on the lives of many people, but the groovy piece also provides a good measure of self-criticism on the one hand and a perspective as a way out before self-destructive self-criticism on the other. All performed by a band that's going on here as Lucy.
Overall, for me a completely successful, harmonious in themselves disc "The verdict revenge" does not forget the protest against the increasing racism in our society, even in the best punk tradition. It is no wonder that the Dead have decided pants in this year's tour as the opening act for the Broilers.
I would define the music as punk rock at its best, it rotates very often since buying in due volume on my CD player. The purchase, I can recommend in good conscience, it is worth.
