Plus points
+ The game mimics fundamentally the old XCOM.
+ Technically the game is very good ported to the present day.
+ Basic missions are more varied than in the old game.
+ Many well-crafted cutscenes that make the game a continuous history.
Negatives
- The RPG component of the game has been greatly veringert. Skills can be developed only in pre-paths. It can be used by characters only 4-5 pieces of equipment, depending on the specialization and 2-3 by a special piece of equipment.
- There is only one main base, the rest is just air base.
- There are no attacks by aliens on XCOM bases ... what was the old game with the trickiest and most exciting combat situation.
- Resource management is significantly less than in the predecessor. Previously thought to itself whether to insert a new magazine in the energy weapon, if only because the stock was limited thereto.
- More generally, one has the impression was simplified and bawled the whole of the management area of the game to much.
- The game is a relatively short time already played (but it can be so more than once to start).
- Only an alien base can be attacked.
- The game develops into linear.
- Final mission ... I did not like.
If I did not know the predecessors and my expectations would not have been correspondingly high, then I would be absolutely delighted with this game. On balance it is a good and solid game that meets the basic purpose of a computer game, it has! I would now like to see an addon that integrates the complexity of the old game concept in this new game.
