Unfortunately, given 1-7mm gap thickness are chosen rather optimistic. Correct it would probably hot 3-7mm.
The gap at my apartment door is depending on location between 1.8mm and 4mm thick (which is why I resorted to just this seal). The gasket was glued only on side of the lock and the door can no longer even close properly. I thought that after a few times strong pressing the seal might give in or adapt. Unfortunately, this is not the case. A simple back pressures with the knees is not enough to close the door. I must instead with all my body weight push against them, so that they includes me. Then the door is so tight that you get the doorknob hardly depressed. Since my door is old and does not have adjustable fishing, my only option is laborious to remove the seal again and another to buy. The 15 I could otherwise invest more ...
