As with Branagh's other literary adaptations such as "Henry V" and Mary Shelley's Frankenstein "allowed the gifted Patrick Doyle (whose credits include the wonderful score for" Donnie Brasco "wrote) also here for spring grip and this sumptuous feast of comic adaptation ( Comics are set to music in my opinion also literature).
And as might be expected in a successful predecessors, the gentle listener may enjoy even here on a splendid piece of film score!
A truly majestic score - instrumented lavishly recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra, with perfectly inserted and discreet support a synth ensembles consistently melodic, powerful and impulsive.
Powerful interpretations and quiet moments alternate wonderfully off and plan a listening pleasure of the upper class!
Though lacking the guiding principle that certain something that would make it a recognizable "catchy", which is a little sad - but it is the son of Odin worthy absolutely and without question!
An absolute recommendation for all friends of the truly "great" symphonic film music !!!!
Again, I must again my buddy "RichieGennaro" pay tribute - he made me hot first on this splendor Core ....
Incidentally: Kenneth Branagh's "Thor" is one of the truly all-round successful comic book movies - class staffed by Chris Hemsworth as Thor (perfect casting !!!!), Sir Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Natalie Portman as a scientist and Thor's earthly "Help" , Ray Stevenson as quite gefräßigem buddy Thor and Stellan Skarsgard as a sympathetic and paternal colleagues from Portman.
A film with good optics mercilessly - a film for cinema's done!
But the grandiose look of Ansgard, the Kingdom of Odin .... simply a hammer (here meets the definition also issues fully liable in Black's!).
All packed in a simple-minded, yet compelling story, peppered with across the board successful special effects and tidy tasty "Krawumm" in the action sequences!
In my opinion after absolute must for all movie fans !!!!
