This pleasant book to read is the real thing (s). This is the first book of "personal development" that I have read and probably the best. The plot of the book is based on the myth of Isis and Osiris interpreted and analyzed from the psychological angle / psychoanalytic very didactic way, without jargon. It is exciting, rich, well written. The author shows us how each character has a dark side and light, and how all these facets of their personality are useful for their journey. The book begins by the observation that we live often foreign to ourselves, locked in an image, ruled by fears and needs. He then lays the foundation for a fulfilling life: listening to our vital impulses (create, participate, unite ...) learn not to identify ourselves with our past, stop making others responsible for what's wrong in our life, etc. Compensation (excess alcohol, TV, sex etc) are also analyzed as ways to comfort us. The author shows us a path to not be a slave of our unconscious patterns, integrate and better manage our dark side, always accompanying his words with examples and interpretations of the myth of Isis and Osiris. Excellent tool for reflection and support for the one who is inside the change process or knows a depressive pass since depression is presented as a painful but constructive way, not in the pathological angle.
