In addition, "The Satanist" one of the most diverse albums throughout the Behemoth discography. Nergal and his troupe are here not gone on the safe side and to show that a serious size not hide behind blast orgies needs (contained entirely) and sometimes may trust something. In favor of the atmosphere a few pieces of plate are down more slowly, what its purpose is completely fulfilled.
"Messe Noire" or the epic closing track "O Father O Satan O Sun" are prime examples of this. With songs like "Furor Divinus" or "In The Absence Ov Light" comes of course also the shooting fraction of their cost. However - there is no song that I would now prefer directly, because you have this album in its entirety so consider at its brutality and balance can fully unfold.
In short: Behemoth have built with "THE Satanist 'own manifesto that time less of full-fledged implementation of Trade Marks lives as far more of development and freedom, which are the supreme principles of Satanists in the rest. Conservative death metallers will probably once surprised perhaps even disappointed by this masterpiece. Those are just live freedom and unfolding love this album.
Buy recommendation !!
An addendum to the DVD: Why only now? It took me a few tries before I can say anything to. First to Live Babarossa: The setlist is excellent, only classics and the jewels of the Behemoth discography. The crowd goes very well with time. Single and whether you can call it a "shortcoming" by Nergal's disease is precisely his voice during a live concert. Nergal is definitely dependent on his colleagues in this appearance at the microphone. His voice alone seems unfortunately relatively thin and untrained. But as I said, it may be due to other causes. I am also sure that he will be there quickly on top of me.
For documentary The Satanist - Oblivion: It should be noted that this is not a normal studio documentary. Much more, the band told us what was the emotional foundations for development process of the plate, Nergal and his team report on personal and internal, inner changes that The Satanist ultimately to make what it is. This is underscored even with almost artistically interpretive short videos and images and provides overall rather an emotional portrait, as a concrete making-of for me. The additional DVD in their entirety but is quite successful and the Limited Edition of The Satanist thus quite recommended! Respect!
