Let Love Rule (CD)

Customer Review

Lenny Kravitz, often labeled as a plagieur dedicated to the cause of 60-70 years, offers us a very good album, dotted with gems combining inspired melodies and exceptional arrangements, and shared the warmth of vintage organs, the dirty fuzz guitars and brass fly high.
To retain among others: the beautiful rock ballad "Does anybody out there even care," the throbbing groove of "Fear" and roaring cavalcade of "Mr. Cab Driver".
While most of the pieces are impeccable, a little over one skates with songs like "Rosemary" or "Empty hands" and "yeah" pushed from time to time by Lenny too motivated are likely to irritate some few.
Apart from these small errors of youth, all still phenomenal maturity for a debut album that has not aged a day in almost 15 years.
