Diego Fasolis Barocchisti and give us their third and final installment of their Steffani saga in the absence of Cecilia Bartoli, Mission heroin and Stabat Mater. This album is only instrumental, since all openings are present, Sinfonias and dances Fasolis could find, all with a very generous timing. At the risk of offending the admirers of the composer (injutement unknown) and the Swiss chef who has resurrected, I found this quite dispensable opus. Music Agostino Steffani is hardly different from that of a Lully for example. The commitment of Fasolis Diego and its Barocchisti is superlative: he manages throughout the album to varying climates and prevent the impression of monotony that often emerges from this anthology style. Commitment does not mean that it should finally add superfluous percussion accentuate the virtuoso character of certain pieces. Baroque music, yes, but not at any price. I come to dream of a double CD which would have included instrumental and vocal pieces leaving the honors to the Roman singer. Marketing The guns will probably not heard him so.
It is possible to approach the Steffani instrumental music in this anthology starring della Gioiosa Marca I Sonatori edited by Divox.
