Wen Hip Hop simply no longer sufficient: on their third album uprising in Cockaigne overtook the Hamburgerdeich child himself, Hip Hop left far behind and discovered her desire to Elektropunk- and radio and anarchic hedonistic lyrics about wild party excesses and uptight bourgeois morality. And just in the country where the order, cleanliness and discipline are the most sophisticated. That one there with Deicide has always had to do with something quirky contemporaries who rather took the role of the bird of paradise in the German Hip Hop, was well known. But at some point, the band felt that they were too uncomfortable and too tight of Hip Hop-suit and they had to do something else in order to get ahead. With rebellion in Cockaigne to Deicide not only changed, but revolutionized themselves and keep their own relevance. Because so surprising and confusing stylistic tightrope walk of Deicide on this album was so remarkable it, how determined and uncompromising band pervades their thing here is. But not only musically, the Hamburger emancipated from established structures. Their live performances should change from now on and become an interactive party experience with sloping costumes, bouncy castles, beer showers and garbage bag betting hopping. Too bad that this new aesthetic was consensus quickly, so that Deichkind with no album could repeat spells more. Uprising in Cockaigne therefore remains the most impressive because most radical, witness this new creative era of Deicide.
