Among the requirements: I am longtime Tori Amos listeners. At first I was very hesitant in purchasing this CD, because I see generally skeptical Best-Ofs (with or without orchestra). I then heard the concert on 15.10.2012 at the Berlin Philharmonie and was thrilled. I would not have expected that the works as well. The orchestra has the arrangements do not completely smeared, the momentum was for pop music, of course, by the orchestra extremely starkly, what is good! Despite a bit much bombast sometimes it really was a great concert. The arrangements I found most appropriate, so that the new versions could be a good supplement to the old recordings. I had not felt that here by force from a "ausgelutschten" career (Midwinter Graces and Night of Hunters I loved!) The last dollar be squeezed out as it represent some. To Album: That's why I now but then the album bought a bit so to take the concert experience home with them. Not even close! The orchestra is * not * as produced on a standard classical CD, but basically like any string sections on older boards of Tori Amos. The orchestra degenerates on the CD so the background Gedüdel. All the pressure of the concert hall is gone. Clear error in the sound design of the album. And then the song production. No idea why hardly a line could be produced on the album without Hall, Flanger, etc. duplication. In addition, the song is much too violent dynamic compression. Mostly it sounds like a bad produced Tori Amos with flanger and reverb right in front of the listener's head; at the other end of the room then (really not so sounds like a Bösendorfer can sound on a CD!) plays someone on a piano, and in the next room rehearsing an orchestra. Sonically DG has always been in my opinion one of the worst classic labels, but this is just sad. (For evaluation uses: Cambridge Audio CD740, Lehmann Linear, Denon AHD5000 and Beyer DT880 / 600). The two star so for the beautiful new arrangements and a bit also for the incredible concert. The CD belongs completely remixed or pulped. I hope to live Blu-ray of the tour. If that would be well done, it would be the appropriate form of presentation of the material.
