The album begins with his Top Ten hit Stay The Night. The number is catchy and packed with holiday feeling. James shows his cheerful, almost carefree side here. Even Dangerous surprised because the number starts quickly and reveals itself, as well as the opener, as a total earworm. In return, Best Laid Plans is as a beautiful ballad that again accompanied by a strong chorus and comes up with guitars use. Although So Far Gone begins inconspicuously, but here it is the strong midsection, the unobtrusive melody that stays in your head.
Another highlight follows with No Tears, another ballad. The title sounds already at the first hearing so familiar that it goes directly into the ear, because piano and strings dominate this piece. It becomes interesting with superstar and an unusual for James Blunt rhythm. Something gentle, yet catchy, it is with These Are The Words and Calling Out Your Name. These songs lined up a seamless and fell easily.
Heart Of Gold shows up in ninth place as another ballad. With I'll be your man, it is the end of the album then again something rhythmical before If Time Is All I Have impresses with strings and piano. Unusually, however, the end of the album, James shows with Turn Me On another side of himself. A rocking blues, of not quite fit into the concept of the album and in my opinion looks a bit out of place.
Nevertheless, James Blunt, the likeable 36-year-old Briton with the extraordinary voice is truly an exceptional phenomenon in the music industry and maintains album after album high in the charts. His debut album Back to Bedlam (2004) was in many countries at number one and has sold over ten million copies. All Even the Lost Souls (2007) rose in four countries at the top and left more than 2.1 million times on the counter. With Some Kind of Trouble (2010), it is determined not to be different.
