Customer Review

After some hesitation, I finally chose three stars ... because some aspects warrant five other one.

The story is based on the fate of Ethan, to whom it is given to relive the same day several times to perhaps change the course of his destiny and avoid making the same mistakes. In the life of Ethan, two key characters: Celine, his great love, he left and who is getting married, and Jessie, unknown girl who emerges from his past and broke into his life.

The idea is good, a lot of imagination as always with Musso, also an ease in handling of narrative time, but alas, if the beginning is exciting, the end of the book gave me the effect of a cruelly blown fell, as if the author had failed to bring inspiration to the end.

I loved the cons by quotations and references scattered throughout the book, often well chosen and interesting, such as that magnificent phrase of André Breton: "What I liked, my having kept or not, I always will. " These are probably the romantic passages that give the book its charm and redeem some shortcomings of the plot, this idealism that love is somehow the "key" Musso and which gives the book and its characters a certain freshness.

Read to have a good time on the beach, unpretentious novel or, if he had, is a little missed. Too bad the author clearly has talent and I look forward to see what a novel more successful on his part could give.
