However, anticipation is still to say that the software itself works well. So there is no defects with respect to the operation of the software itself. But a lot about usability and security.
First of all, this software is a Windows application that I would have said erhlich much rather seen as a web application. Thus, one could access it from anywhere and there would be problems Keie for non-Windows users.
This is unfortunately not the case.
All functions promises Burgwächter, are however to accomplish with the software that goes with it:
- Creating / editing users, codes, schedules, locks
- Assign individual users to different locks
- Reading out the access history
What you can not do:
- Manage finger scans (ignores the software completely)
Read battery state of locks, or keyboards -
- Indication of suspicious activities (Wrong PIN entering attempts to unauthorized times, etc.)
Now a list of things that are to be criticized, in my view:
1) The software provides all the access codes in the list of users in plain text, so do not as a ****** or similar.
If you want to show someone the SW, you therefore must reveal all codes.
2.) The software is not protected against access. Anyone with access to your PC can easily open. A PIN is not to forgive. In conjunction with the code in plain text of point 1, this is a security breach without equal. So be sure you are up only with Burg Wächter.
3.) Any changes to the data (user names, codes, schedules, lock access, just about anything) takes effect after a data transfer at each lock. That would be acceptable if it could be programmed all the locks with a push of a button, but you have to click each individually (per lock takes about 20 seconds) and also have to enter the admin code of the lock, even if the codes of all the locks are the same.
If the application with PIN protected, you could store the Admin code in it and then have to click once to upgrade the locks. Incomprehensible why this was so poorly resolved.
4.) The reading of history has to be done before any data upgrade because the history is erased. The history is a top priority in a TXT file. This is how over time a series of TXT files, together indeed show the entire history, but are anything but clear. Why is there no interface for the history in which automatically read the locks during reprogramming and the history is attached, so that one has been listed at a glance all accesses. Filters can be used as the whole course not.
5.) Considering a timetable and assigns it to a user, it is essential to go lock settings and still look that is ever active for the corresponding lock schedules still in the menu.
Then one can not so easily. To this end, there is no indication in the manual and at all it is not solved very intuitive that the timetable depends on both users, as well as the castle. Now that I know it, but it is at least OK.

Can mention one positive that the USB transmitter has a good grasp. For me, all three locks are about 10m as the crow flies, yet the transmission works flawlessly.
