"Overkill" does not exist for A7X. The songs are often 5 to 10 minutes and consist of almost unbelievable number of individual parts / riffs together etc., despite their variety and the different varieties used musical harmonize and give an organic whole. Good, such a unique song, really songs, with recognition value. No putative complexity and pseudo-creativity for its own sake. Set pieces of different metal styles of thrash about speed metal to nu-metal influences combined with alternative rock, in part, to musicals reminiscent passages and many others give a sound that unequaled in the world of music. Comparable perhaps with the band "tourniquet".
The new self-titled album is certainly become a little tamer of the gait, but by no means bad. On The Contrary. The points which I have mentioned above as major plus points of the band, come here much more clearly to light. Here and there lay A7X itself once on a little restraint. This is but the quality and makes the songs even better, more accessible. Would be items such as "Song must be at least x minutes. Take 100 + x riffs included" as a dogma to impose the band, she would eventually limit themselves and build on their strengths to weaknesses. A healthy level of recognition, something pop appeal and Hitfaktor are for me still no lack of self-reliance.
Anyone interested in A7X, should hear / buy this album. As a "gateway drug" perfect.
