By chance, I found this album by Laura Marling. Even the short audio samples of each of the sixteen songs have impressed me. The mood of the CD is consistently a quiet, the soul sensed atmosphere that is permeated with very rhythmic guitar riffs, often with Indian anklingenden drums and the sounds of the sitar. Nevertheless remains the music not in a Indian anhauchenden universe but finds its way back to the American folk like Bob Dylan. Supported the music of Laura's clear, medium dark voice that at times reminiscent of Diana Krall or Norah Jones. Your lyrics seem from one song to the next move, almost as if acted the whole album just a song. For Ersthörer a concept album, this CD can be a bit of a challenge. At the second hearing, however, it is fully integrated into the world of Laura Marling and is grateful for the peace and quiet, relaxation, self-confidence and the unique individuality of the artist. To float and think this music is uniquely suited!
