Outrun (Lp Deluxe Edition) [Vinyl] [Vinyl] (Vinyl)

Customer Review

Here is probably once again a failure happens. The vinyl version is housed on a record, and
not as stated here on two recordings. I treated myself to the Deluxe version.
It is a gatefold with glossy hardcover. Inside can be found a sort of Photo Story, plus XXL ArtCards.
Very nice presentation! Unfortunately, the LP is only a flexi vinyl (ie a thin 110g pressure). At
such a high-quality packaging is very unfortunate, and I subtract a star!
Nevertheless, the uptake is very neat.

To Album: Outrun is a concept album. It's practically the soundtrack to a film of 1986
there at all. There are only Synthesizer, Synthesizer and more synthesizers.
I personally like the album much better than the new Daft Punk.
The comparison is close (Kavinsky was the opening act for Daft Punk) .If Kavinsky you get really fat electric
which was not so softened as Random Access Memories (I also find well).

The track Nightcall probably known to many as the theme song of Drive. I was very surpised, the complete album
maintains this high level. If you like good old-school electro, of this album should not be engehen!

Addendum: It could also be the part of the "flexi-vinyl" with the concept, because 180 pressings were in the 80s
not common. Should it be so would be appropriate, of course 5 star. But purely speculative ...
