Bought for backup my iMac 5K this product.
Because unfortunately I need a Windows XP program (via Parallels) I've maxed out my SSD with 750 GB. Therefore, the 3 GB LaCie.
Data transfer is only around 190 - 200 MB / s at Thunderbolt. 2
My external SSD (Thunderbolt 1) shows but at 290 to 657 MB / s.
But since I do not use the LaCie to boot, it is sufficient for the Datensichrung.
If it completely with SSD, not only as a hybrid with 128 GB, these are disk I suggest probably.
The product works fanless and thus quiet and has an off switch.
Am satisfied.
