1) Buying
Why exactly LG G3?
My HTC One M7 has become even more than two years old and I just wanted a new smartphone again. As part of a contract extension, I became aware of the LG G3. The appearance and the inner workings of the device worked very well for me, even the very reasonable price of only 190 made my purchase decision very easy.
The LG G3 really offers a lot and is definitely a high-end smartphone, so a full-size model.

2.) Packaging & Delivery
The LG G3 was, just as you would just know in a typical Smartphone box, packed in a small carton. The display and all glossy areas were protected by films. The camera and the rear- Keytasten were covered with a sheet.
In addition to the main unit were still operating instructions in bound form, an LG headset with replaceable upholstery, a USB cable which is unfortunately a bit too short for me, and an adapter for charging the device in its packaging.
Overall I was very satisfied with the delivery, I did not miss anything.

3.) First switching on and configuring
Basically, the switching and setting up smart phones are very light, here no one really should have problems. Even operators who previously never had a smartphone, are in my view have no problem with it, because you will always performed step by step through the settings.
The battery was when I unwrapped the smartphone already used, this had done me the saleswoman equal. By default, the battery is not used. Here we have the first great advantage of this Smartphones- the battery is replaceable. (More on that later: (9) Battery Performance)
After holding down the power button on the back of the unit launched the device and immediately led a software update by. This happened very quickly, because in the beginning are no personal apps on mobile, which must be updated.
After the device is powered up, it began to guide me through the settings and it was just the usual settings such as time, time zone, date, 'performed. This was followed by numerous applications of Google accounts and other accounts.
That's it, other settings followed later. The unit is located after setting the home screen.

4) Appearance & Processing
In my opinion, the LG G3 is a very chic smartphone. The front is made entirely of glass. The display glass smeared not really fast but fingerprints are seen after prolonged use, which can only be prevented by special films that can stick.
Above the display you will find the first speaker. This speaker is designed exclusively for telephony and is very discreet. (More on loudspeaker later (8) speakers and microphones). To the left of the speaker you will find a total of 4 small points. They are (from left to right) the alert lamp, the front camera, and two sensors (light and distance sensor).
The edge of the smartphone is very tidy, we have nothing left and right, up is an infrared transmitter and a microphone, below is the Mico USB port, a speaker jack and another microphone.
The back is, the same as the edge elements of plastic. The reverse, however, is provided with metal particles, which are the special brushed look and feel better when you hold the device in his hand. On the back are still the main camera, the laser focus, a dual flash, the 3 keys and the main speakers.
Mich says the design of the LG G3 very, the workmanship is very good I have to say really. The battery cover is very well located, knarxt here and nothing wobbles. The buttons on the back are very well made.
The choice of materials has again limited to plastic and that is the reason why one device from the external appearance can not compare with a HTC One M8 or soon with the M9.

5.) Operation
The built-in buttons on the LG G3 have a sensationally good tactile feedback. I was initially very skeptical and thought to myself, the buttons on the back are certainly a disadvantage. But LG has since really come up with something good, because I think we really achieved the keys very easy and they can be operated very well and sensing, so you do not turn the device needs to see which key is pressed. I like it very much.
The touch screen of the G3 responded excellently. I really could not find anything negative here.

6) Display
The display of the LG G3 has a very high resolution, which calls itself QHD resolution. This very high resolution sounds very good, clear the display is sharp but in all honesty I have to say that I notice between a Full HD display and a qHD display is not much difference. When zooming of texts one notices the differences clearly, here the display of the LG G3 is still extremely sharp.
Colours:
The colors of the display are very satisfactory. The black levels and white values are for me just fine. The colors are not very strong but not pale. LG says the colors are neutral and real Yes, it is, so the colors are not as gaudy and herausstechend. For me this is not a criticism.
Brightness:
The brightness of the display is continuously adjustable and above all fine. Although this is with every new smartphone so, I also like quite well. The display might still be brighter in the highest brightness level a bit, but that does not bother me. In the darkest stage it is pleasantly dark, otherwise I would not like to see that.
The brightness of the display automatically adjusts gradually adapts to the ambient temperature. This happens very quickly.
Special feature:
During a call, the display turns off automatically. This is made possible by the proximity sensor.
Touchscreen:
Here a capacitive touchscreen has been installed, which is known from all other new smartphones. The touchscreen responds very well and I also very precise. I like quite well.

7.) cameras
The main camera of the LG G3 is of course at the back, installed over the three keys. There is a 13 megapixel camera. With the camera of G3 you can definitely make nice shots. The camera triggers very quickly and focused very quickly. The LG G3 makes good shots even in low light conditions. For more detailed information and values can be found in the data sheets.
The Selfiekamera on the front panel does not make outstanding photos, but with the quality I am very satisfied.
Operating the camera:
Which I find very good. All buttons and shortcuts are located where you want it. Operation is simple, the menus are clearly structured. It all fits. Compared to the LG G2, so the previous menu was significantly and noticeably rejected and restructured. It is now cleaned up and kept simple.
Special feature:
The LG G3 has a dual LED photo. This means that two LEDs were installed. The upper one knows of other smartphones, it lights glaring white, the lower light up much warmer and allows for better skin tone.
The camera is coupled to a laser focus that increases the speed of focusing.

8) Speakers & Microphones
The LG G3 has installed two speakers. The first speaker at the top of the smartphone, the second on the back. The top speaker does the job pretty well when making calls. Call quality on the part of the speaker and the microphones convinced me. I can not complain. The lower speaker spits out music and other listening and he does in my opinion quite well.
Volume of the speakers:
The can also be very finely adjusted. The speakers can also be noisy and sound in my opinion very clear but the sound is a bit thin. Thus, I find that the speakers can not compare with those of the HTC One, but that was clear to me. For me, the speakers are at least good enough.

9) Battery power
The battery in the LG G3 is a big chunk and also has a lot to offer, namely 3000mAh. That all sounds very well but keep in mind a few that a QHD resolution of the display needs decent juice. And so it is: Active Display = much power consumption. That's the formula and it shows. The processor, however, is very low power consumption.
But I'll slack off for one day, but I invite daily overnight. For me, the battery capacity is sufficient, but there is still much room for improvement. The 3000mAh listen to better than they actually are in daily use.

10.) processor performance

Processor: The served its purpose quite well. Scrolling through the browser can be seen no stuttering. Even with very demanding games or applications, the processor is working very well.
LG has still not yet rectify, because sometimes the homescreen must first build when you wipe back and forth. But I must not complain, I am very satisfied. These issues are addressed by updates.
Heat generation: very low

13) recommendation
I can really recommend this smart phone to anyone who wants a good and powerful device. LG is certainly one of the top manufacturers of smartphones and has again developed with the LG G3 a top unit.
As I said, I define the class in which the device is located as upper class.

Important Addendum (17/05/2015)
The rare stuttering are unfortunately more and more. The unit depends on permanently, the homescreen constantly reconfigures and crashes. The touch screen is often unresponsive. I need to reset to factory settings and that after a few weeks of operation, my unit. A high-performance smartphone is so NOT, therefore the temporary devaluation of 4 stars!
