The authors had announced and they held promise: this album is the last of the series. It smells a bit besides the end from the beginning. The trial is rigged Joanovici but it ends up being sentenced to prison (as well as some of his former accomplices during the Occupation). In prison, he finally learns to write and read. On leaving, he is under house arrest in Mende. From there, he will find a way to resume business in the scrap. Everything could leave but Joanovici be overtaken by his past, his scheming, his "friends". He will end up emigrating to Israel. But because of the tenacity of Legentil judge (!), It will return the box "Prison in France." This eminently moral standard is readable in one sitting. Although this album is a bit less nervous than the previous (inevitably the protagonists take the bottle, wrinkles and lose some neurons), there remains an amazing testimony of an extraordinary destiny. Fabien Nury has really had a nose to discover this bio and to have developed around Joanovici an endearing or repulsive characters gallery, witnesses to this troubled period in the history of France. When drawing the Valley, although classic, it is very pleasant to discover. Special mention for the masterful covers of all albums in this series. 4 stars for this album but 5 for all!
