Blinded by the wide range of functions of the radio I ordered it on Amazon. The next day he was already there - yay.
It was built by a Mercedes workshop, the assembly was not really a problem, after 15 minutes it was all over. No more cables, no adapters or the like were needed.
Positive:
+ High functionality, marked with clear symbols
+ Large display
+ Easy playback of USB, Radio, CDs.
+ Good reception
+ Great delivery - no additional parts required for installation.
Negatives
-The Volume control reacts very very bad - partly, he does not react or behaves weird (you want a loud turn but instead is quieter!)
-The automatic dimming function is not to be used, while the display flickers constantly and finds no reasonable adjustment. You have every time inconvenient to the menu and the brightness manually regulate because the display is very large and thus emits very bright.
- Cycle through the different work modes such as CD, USB, Tuner etc. on the dial take a long time - sometimes up to 10 seconds!
- With each start of the XAV the hazard statement must be confirmed with OK - very annoying!
I really expected more from Sony - especially in a mass product and supposedly uncomplicated radio - but since I have apparently thought wrong!
