Have this equipment compared with Panasonic BDT 500 and BDT 700 and have then decided due to the ability to use Amazon Instant Video for Sony. The Panasonic were in terms of image and audio quality, in my opinion comparable, which offer even more settings. The Sony player does not have as many technical gimmicks like the comparison device, but is perfectly adequate for my purposes. The running noise of the CD drive is practically inaudible in my device. The build quality is fine, the apparatus with the plastic housing provides no particularly high-quality impression. The device is with me constantly in standby. It could start a little faster, but the other response times in order. About the handling of the functions can be discussed, but after a short time the unit can be easily operated. The remote control is relatively small and manageable. I use the device frequently for Amazon Instant Video and it works flawlessly. The player buffers the data very well and I have a 6000 with DSL line an HD stream that rarely shows dropouts.
It was noticeable in the device that it set itself at the initial and software update has the first place, hung two so violently that I could reanimate only through separation from power. After that no more was happening and that the device is running without any problems since then. Obviously running because some data updates in the background, which can overwhelm the machine a little. But that's just a guess.
The unit blends well with my Yamaha RX-A2030 and my Samsung UE65HU7590 UHD TV. 4K Upscaling of Blu Ray is working properly.
Except for the small Macke after setting up at the beginning, I am very satisfied with the device.
a total penalty for the false start and the somewhat cheap impression.
