It starts quickly and quietly (we still hear the drive spinning). It is compatible 3D Blu-ray content for a price. All seems good.
The remote is very similar to the Samsung TV, ergonomics is correct. She starts the TV, change source and volume. Unfortunately, the TV remote control normally used to control another device (including another Samsung device), but since I placed a home cinema amp between the 2 devices, it is impossible to control the player via the TV and remote control (I precise remote control of the TV). I am forced to keep the 2 remote controls (TV + Blu-ray).
I do not particularly like the buttons that are on the top side of the player, they seem to "touch" (you have to touch with a finger) and therefore not very accurate. Moreover they are not particularly accessible, if like me you place the player in a closed TV stand, on the amp, it must pass the hand on top of the player, it would have been more practical front. All commands are available buttons on the remote.
There is no front panel display, limiting the effects of light and offers a sleek design, but it does not display information.
It is also relatively wide (36cm) I did not realize the Sony blu-ray players are looking a little more compact.
The connection is slight, HDMI, optical outlet and the power connector, no HDMI cable.
I do not use DLNA features, content visualization and networking functions etc ... I go through a living room computer, but I hope to test.
To sum up:
The +
- Quick and silent Player
- Sleek Design
- Normally controllable from a recent Samsung TV (one remote).
Les -
- We must connect the player directly to the TV to enjoy Samsung Anynet (HDMI CEC by Samsung)
- The touch buttons on the top of the unit
Otherwise fast delivery by UPS. As against the package was not protected by a supplementary card (although it is not green), I do not know if it is a practice of the seller or UPS, fortunately without gravity for the material.
