This novel Amanda Stevens is one of my favorite. Theroux's character evangeline young inspector of the new orleans is very endearing, she finds a young widow and mother for 6 months. One senses in this woman a lot of suffering, she accepted very badly the disappearance of her husband cop like her, and she has to learn to be a mother, which is why it is not prepared at all. Faced with these personal challenges she is facing a very delicate and sordid investigation of the murders committed with morssures snakes, infanticide committed 30 years earlier, she must team malgès it with an FBI agent who is not reckless their relationship gives meaning to human profondemment this novel. It is a really successful thriller, the story is well put together, the plot halène hold us in, and of course the final of this story is really unexpected. A must read, pending a suite.
