First of all, to Kyrat Edition:
I'm generally a lover of Special Editions with additional physical content and as the Kyrat Edition of Far Cry 4 is then priced like it here at Amazon a little, I could not resist. :)
All contents of the edition are selected very high quality and fit, I really was totally excited already when unpacking. The Pagan Min figure makes a very detailed, sophisticated look and that the folding package the same maps the appropriate backdrop completes the whole perfectly. Also the notebook leatherette makes a good impression and like much. The map of Kyrat and propaganda posters are also printed both very high. Here I especially like that you get to see often also game the poster and they thus almost has the feeling to hold an object out of the game in their own hands.
Digital still short Additional missions include, where you can take on the role of Hurk, one of our companions. The only downside of Kyrat Edition for me is that the Season Pass is not included. I think that might be expected for an originally planned price of 100 well be that you also get all the digital content. This DLC policy is unfortunately difficult in trend and you have to accept it willy-nilly.
Now to the game:
There are some new features that could convince me from the beginning directly. There would, for example, that you can slip into the single-player campaign with a friend online in Coop. Even the shooting was very useful improved during driving, by now one can add an autopilot to better objectives. skinned animals throw off more income to fur when they hunted with bow and arrow instead vollzupumpen with lead. This contributes greatly to the realism and spurs, not blindly to everything "loszuballern". These Kyrat looks fantastic, there is a great foresight and a lot to discover. So far everything sounds like a perfect gaming experience - it is but unfortunately, at least for me, not at all.
Let us begin once the story. Even the introduction into what is happening is very short and makes us not familiar with our character. We manage virtually a stranger, which we almost only know that he wants to bring his mother's ashes after Kyrat. Even otherwise, the story rarely comes beyond the classic "oppressed against oppressors" rail. Then one of the most serious with me points: Random Events! Kyrat in my opinion is absolutely overloaded with random events. You can not run any 10 meters without either allies or ordinary citizens need our help, our eagles, wolves, badgers, Tiger and god knows what all attack suddenly, any human enemies pass, someone would like to inform via radio something us you any heard shots being fired in the vicinity and so on. Even in the occupied outpost ever come down enemy vehicles and attack us - quite often it even happens that you have to visit the just abandoned outpost again, as this was invaded without our presence. You get the feeling that you will never really left despite OpenWorld principle and huge game world alone.
In addition an in my opinion very weakly designed difficulty. I consider myself a fairly experienced player and I played the game on "hard". Then, when but can swallow enemies and animals all magazines an assault rifle without dying, I think that's not particularly sparkling. For one loses so every firefight any realism, on the other hand, it is for me simply a sign of poor programming, as you quite plump bypasses developing sophisticated AI.
Also pushed negative to me is that you too easily lead to too much money from the first minute. My biggest "problem" was to me to craft a larger purse. I never had the feeling that they have to spend my earned money wisely, because I always behind every other stone money is thrown at. There are tons of treasure chests, each opponent contributes money with him, and for each mission, and almost all the help I treat anyone, I get an appropriate payment. A sense of individual structure of the own inventory stood at least not one that I could always buy me everything almost always what I had already unlocked.
So is Far Cry 4 for me behind my expectations, as it has not consistently improved, but in some cases significantly deteriorated compared with their predecessors. Nevertheless, despite all the criticism, it is not a bad game and definitely worth a look. I do not regret buying the Kyrat Edition anyway in spite of everything, since the content of the edition completely convinced me and the game has very good moments. I hope nevertheless that Far Cry 5 something to basics returns and total back a little unaufgeregteres game, although I do not really believe in it.
