Apropos: a touch screen, incidentally, none of my cameras (only the mobile phone) - this is new to me and a very pleasant decor, if only the leaves looking at the photographs, or during manual focusing via touchscreen when the autofocus does not even (so ) hinbekommt well.
The following statements I have made so far, more results I will post:
+ Great look - crisp red - solid processed
+ ISO speed limitation eg of 80 -. 400 possible and sensible
+ Ordinary images are possible, but very dependent on the preferences and especially good light !!
+ Natural color reproduction in photos, works on the monitor is not quite as good as on my Mac / TV
+ Touch screen is quite useful and meaningful
+ Simple operation possible, well-structured menu
+ Higher-resolution display can quickly founding tell whether a photo has succeeded or not
+ Focus and triggering via touchscreen possible!
+ Commendable choice of scenes
+ Small but solid weight
+ Software is good - Photo and video creation / editing possible
+ Mac-compatible software
+ Manual on CD is quite extensive and well understood
+ Hand Strap Extra - also serves a certain stabilization when shooting
+ Movies to 720p is now common and are at home nice and sharp, but in AVI format only up to 2GB (scarce 1/2 hours at 720p) possible -So enough memory cards when longer movies take
+/- Sensitive touchscreen (footprints, "mirror" Sensitivity / reflections)
+ / No GPS reception (in this price range is no standard yet, also saves power)
+/- Cleaning cloth is wg. Touchscreen expedient
+/- Video quality for me only an additional feature, looks far from nice, but I have to test further, "camera shake" but exist despite faster SD card
+/- Good microphone, the sound is recorded well understood (also wind noise can be reduced)
+/- Battery performance unconvincing, must await further charging cycles (lt. Manufacturers around 180 photos)
- 16 MP - completely pointless in this category - when does the Megapixelwahn finally on ??? Unnecessary noise is often the result because there are too many pixels have to "share" the small square on the sensor, rather then a solid 6-8 MP camera, but is no longer manufactured - a little put things, for example. . set 8 MP in the menu, the compression ratio is, however, lt. manual also higher
- Depending on the lighting conditions and focal length often high noise - which one can only try to counter by "screwed" on ISO value etc.
- Autofocus device quickly in trouble as soon as lighting conditions deteriorate, especially at high focal length - despite stabilizer tripod strongly recommended or a very steady hand
- In 16: 9 mode only fixed value of 12 MP possible - why ???
- No SD card as an accessory here
- Rear cheap plastic, but overall at least well finished
- Fiddly USB cable cover, the battery compartment is a bit stiff if you have not the knack
- Relatively weak flash - triggers "Automatic" often made, illumination limited use, in bright rooms but that does not fall so dramatically
- Accessories should include at least a small SD card, not available, also not a small storage bag - everything costs not much - so it created follow-up costs (note the present!)
Practical tip for beginners and Gelegenheitsknippser: automatic mode, ISO 80-400, 8 MP, if necessary Raise the flash - even if it looks stuffy: tripod - which brings grds. significantly better results, despite stabilizer because this camera shake can absorb only limited. For me arise compared overall solid 3 points, but since the camera is also much cheaper than my previous "snapping", the comparison does not and there is a narrow point for more price / performance, making a total of just 4 points. Experience shows that previous models but also good points and are even cheaper ;-)
