"We gotta keep the fire burning"

Since it is so, High Hopes, the Springsteen album, was written much about beforehand and much speculation.
And while listening, you realize that it was worth waiting!
The title track is a cover of number, but grooving a beautiful and knows how to convince with skilful horn sections.
Harry's Place is a holdover from the "The Rising" sessions, but sounds more like the E-Street-Groove of the late 80s / early 90s, me even a bit reminiscent of the Human Touch ...

Then with American Skin (41 Shots) follows a well-known live classic and for me, the first highlight of the album.
This hypnotic effect of the song, this concentrated atmosphere and Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine) on the lead guitar is this masterpiece as a studio version more than worthy! Something something no other artist I've heard so far.

Later in Bruce holds the class, it come abwechslunsgreiche arrangements for use, a gospel choir here, Percussion there - until finally the finale with the reinterpretation of modern Springsteen's classic "The Ghost of Tom Joad" is rung!
And this interpretation makes me speechless - sure, I liked the song ever - but in this new guise, with full band Instrumentation, Tom Morello's guitar arts and the two-part singing is the song more than ever under the skin, sounds at times like a completely new Song!

Finally comes then "Dream Baby Dream", again a cover point, but of such intensity, as I have rarely experienced - the words of the boss banging so hypnotically into the brain - most of the song by the might some acquaintances underlined Video, in which mainly the reactions of the audience are captured on Springsteen concerts ...

All in all I must say that Bruce has again surpassed himself - he is a completely different direction than last on the "Wrecking Ball" and comes up with only 3 Cover numbers (Previously I thought that about 75% of the material to be gecovert would)
